Information and links

Getting here

Jaywick is next to Clacton on Sea. Or if you look at it the proper way round Clacton on Sea is next to Jaywick. The nearest railway station is admittedly in Clacton, buses go regularly to Jaywick, its only 10 minutes. In the old days you could get a steamship from Waterloo Bridge to Clacton Pier.

Staying here

Most people have a chalet so there is no hotel accomodation - the best option are the caravans for hire at the lovely Martello Beach Caravan Park.

Dogs

Dogs are allowed on Jaywick Beach all year round, but no further north than the West Road Outfall Pipe when you get to Clacton. More information on where dogs are not allowed is available from the local council here.

Jaywick Martello Tower

A great building with lots of fun things to do inside, art projects, films, fairs and more !
